Here is a photo of Shawn and me enjoying a Portland snow day. Februaryish/2007, maybe like 4 inches of snow and just below freezing. Look, we're smiling, and the only reason we're wearing those touques is for the novelty of the snow day, we really didn't need them.

Today I didn't venture outside once. Levi was sick last night, so we lazied around the house and took naps. When Shawn got home at 5:45, he looked... cold. I told him I needed groceries, and if he thought I should walk to the store. He told me people were dying out there and I would probably die too. He's a little extreme. Then he told me it was C-37 (-34F) and I agreed, I would probably die. What was I thinking agreeing to move here? Seriously who chooses to live in these conditions? CRAZY people do!!!
See- this is why Canadian always talk about the weather. Our lives HAVE to revolve around it. it's epic...never boring.
ReplyDeleteI agree. We are crazy. I often dream of tunnels that connect downtown and mini houses...so yes. If that's my dream- well, it's a bit sad isn't it?!:)
Today wearing a toque inside :) I was thinking how funny it is that a new Narnia movie always comes out in winter, they go together so well.
