A rare quiet morning

I never ever EVER wake up before Nolan wakes me up. Today I was able to nurse him back to sleep, slip quietly out of bed and out the door, wait for a minute to make sure he really was out, breathe a sigh of satisfaction, then a giddy smile slowly crept over my face as the possibilities seemed endless. I looked first over at the book I need to read for tomorrow's mom's group. Then over at my laptop which had a good nine hours of FB and blog updates just waiting for me to take in. Then over at the stainless steel french press that Shawn just surprised me with last night. I opted for the laptop first, not the most diligent choice. Seriously though, this morning was glorious. I surfed the internet for a good 10 minutes, made eggs and applesauce for Levi's breakfast before he was able to harass me for a PB&J sandwich, made coffee for the adults, sent Levi out the door and on his way to pre-school w/ his dad, and now here I sit blogging at 9:15am, and the baby is STILL SLEEPING!!

Yes, today will be a good day. (I hear stirring... and he's up!)

And doesn't he look so rested and excited about life?!?
